Going in the right direction, but I’m not there yet

How do I get my creatinine to drop? It’s come down to 1.8, and GFR is up from 36 to 58. I lost weight, and blood pressure is normal but I want to keep improving. Any ideas?

Hi Rock,

Keep doing what you are doing. You did not say what you did to change your diet. The fact you improved you GFR 20 points is amazing. Share what you did.

I wasn’t fat, but husky muscular. Powerlifting as a hobby way too long. I’m 55. Dr thinks all the years of heavy protein plus anti inflammatory drugs put me in peril. So, I turned to Keto style of eating. Zero sugar, plenty of water. Lots of vegetables. Cut drinking. I lost 36lbs, lean now. This also helped lower my blood pressure. I suggest to anyone to reduce meat consumption. And empty carbohydrates.
