I am no expert, but a person can live well with just one kidney. So, if you were diagnosed with ckd it affects both of your kidneys.
If one of your kidneys was healthy, your function would probably be normal.
I agree with WYOAnne. Slow progression with a low salt, low protein, modified potassium and phosphate diet and some exercise. Stay positive!
