Follow a kidney-friendly diet, exercise when you can, even walking can help, stay on top of your medications for everything and keep your appointments and learn what you can about CKD and stay on top of your health issues. Follow a kidney-friendly diet at davita.com and watch your minerals by adjusting each recipe as needed based on your lab values. Also, walk and do any other exercise you are currently doing and stay on top of your medications for all health concerns. I'm 66, male, and also have T2D and Hypertension. I'm no longer on meds for diabetes and only one for Blood Pressure. Enjoy your life with just a few changes and keep your appointments and watch your labs to stay on top of any negative trends. Best of Luck.

I am male 76 and diagnosed 2+ years ago at level 3b. I have been on renal diet and level progression has slowed down. It pays to be proactive. You might want to ask your Doctor about a renal diet suitable for you. I agree with Mr K's post. Quality of life is important. We have to be proactive for our health.
