Dialysis & after effects

I have started Dialysis recently (about 3 weeks ago} and am having some rather unpleasant effects. I have extreme wind which is accompanied by urgent need to evacuate bowel. The following day, bowel movements are frequent & loose.

Sorry - not a nice subject - but is this a common effect of dialysis ? Does anyone else experience this problem ?

Sorry to hear about your problem. As this is the support area for early CKD I am not sure what help we can offer. Perhaps mention the side effects to your doctor who might be able to help.

go to the healthunlocked homepage and find the kidney and urinary link. When that opens look for the dialysis support link and see if that works and you can ask your question there 😺
