blackie57
Hello blackie57, I do not understand your post. Are you asking for details of a daily menu for kidney failure, or telling us that this can be found at the e-mail address you have given?
Please let us know so that we can help you further, or maybe you can help us!
Regards Curleytop1.
need a daily dieet for my kidney failure if someone can send me a proper kidney dieet tnx edaaccon@gmail.com
Hello again Blackie 57, I'm afraid there is no one diet that is suitable for all the people who have kidney disease It can get quite complicated and the best start is to find out what type of kidney disease you have.
If it is actually Chronic Kidney Disease, you need to know what stage you are at, this is determined by your GFR figure (your doctor will know what that means) then the doctor should tell you if if you need a particular diet, which varies for all of us. Some of us are told to cut down on eating foods which are high in potassium (my problem), phosphorus or proteins - but it can be difficult to know what these are in each country, especially with fruits and vegetables because they all have different names!
Try not to worry too much, start by going back to your doctor and asking him or her to assist you in this, tell them that you do not understand what to do!
When you have found out what kind of kidney disease you have, and especially if you have CKD, there is a very good american website which specialises in helping people with kidney problems - and it is free to access - it is
Davita.com/recipes
There are other sites which can help as well - I find it best to use Google to ask a question, and lots of different answers come up which you can look at.
Other things we all have to do are: Stop smoking, cut down or stop drinking alcohol, cut out using salt, sodium (another name for salt) and low-salt products - use herbs and a little pepper instead. Same with sugar and sugar substitutes, we do not need to eat it. Also I have been told that coffee, chocolate and nuts are not good for kidney disease patients. There are more things but I have tried to give you the main ones.
Hope this has helped, and I know it is a lot to have to cope with, everyone on this site has been through these problems but we can all help each other. Please let us know how you get on, and if you need it, we will try to help - Best wishes Curleytop1. I FORGOT ONE IMPORTANT THING - DRINK PLENTY OF FRESH, PLAIN WATER EACH DAY AS THIS HELPS THE KIDNEYS TO DO THEIR JOB.
