Everything seems to be going a bit wrong recently. Having lots of different tests as the doctors don't know why I've had a stroke at 39 years old. I think I might have lupus does anyone else have similar issues.

Egfr 11%, recent mini stroke and raynauds. Is this lupus?
buryboy, I am so sorry to hear you have so many health issues to deal with at the moment.
With regard to your lupus query, perhaps you will find it more helpful to look at the lupus community on HU.
I can so understand your worries about having had a mini stroke at the age of 39 as our son had a stroke (a clot to the brain) at the same age a few years ago. They couldn't find a reason in his case either - an otherwise active, fit and healthy young man attending the gym, playing tennis and local league football. His eyesight has been affected to the point that he is unable to drive due to not meeting DVLA guidelines for some crazy reason as he still plays tennis and works on the computer, but we feel blessed that he is otherwise healthy. He is prescribed daily blood thinning medication and statins, and I assume that you, too, will be treated similarly to prevent the risk of further stroke.
I do hope that you will soon have some helpful answers both from the medics and from contributors to the lupus site, as well as this community. Good luck.
Thanks i will have a look on the lupus site.
I was allready prescribed a spring but now that has been stopped and now taking another blood thinner.
Docs in Greece thought it might have been low blood pressure that caused the stroke but been suffering with high since we got home.
Got my eyes tested and found my eye sight has got better since the stroke guess it is a release of pressure?
I assume the annoying predictive text got in the way and that "a spring" should really read "aspirin"! Our son takes a drug called Clopidogrel as a blood thinner - it apparently works similarly to aspirin. The statins he is taking are prescribed as routine practice following stroke apparently.
Interesting that your once low blood pressure has changed to high following the stroke but I guess that could be down to stress and worry after the horrid experience. No doubt a check is being kept on it now.
Strange that your eyesight has actually improved following the stroke - not that it is a given that eyesight is adversely affected by stroke. Good to have something positive to hang on to though. It might boost your confidence and lift your spirits to hear that a friend of mine had a stroke when she was 40 and she is now a very fit and healthy lady approaching her 70's!
