I am 31 egfr is dropping lowest is 43 but I now have high bp and water retention are these signs that things are deteriorating?

it seems like it get your blood pressure down & maybe water tablets? hopefully your gp will sort you out! high blood pressure damages the kidneys further! so if they get it under control it should help to slow it all down!

I too worry that bloating and swelling may be a sign that things are deteriorating. I am 37 & have a gift of 23%. Stage 4 they say. Small kidneys. Very nervous. I was taking a thiazide diuretic but kidney Dr. Told me to stop taking it & wants me on a beta blocker. She said that a diuretic is not a good idea for anyone active or who works out a lot.
