depends what has caused it just try to eat a good healthy diet plenty of fresh fruit & veg & not too much fatty stuff & keep yourself hydrated & a healthy weight so excersize is good if you do all that theres not much more that you can do!

Hello Merhawi, sorry to hear you've had worrying results. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 CKD in 2010 with eGFR results around 40, as I only have one kidney I was very worried too. I did lots of research online and read about a chef in US who had just been diagnosed with stage 2 CKD, his nutritionist offered to help him and advised he go vegetarian to ease the problem. Being a chef he loved food, particularly Meat and he ate lots of red meat which he didn't realise was causing the kidneys to work harder to deal with that amount of protein. Anyway he decided to give it a try for 2 months, of course he found it very hard but he stuck to it and felt better and better. His next Renal test was nearer normal eGFR : 60!! I decided to adopt this method and went vegetarian but still ate fish once a week, within 3 months my results went up to 54, and now stand at 66!! :)
