Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone o... - Early CKD Support
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone on this forum has fibromyalia as well as CKD?
Hi boycie
Yes I have ckd3 and fibro plus other autoimmune diseases and find it hard to distinguish what symptoms belong to what disease.
I'm so pleased to hear from you (of course i'm not pleased you have fibro as well) I know what you mean! When you say you don't know what desease is causing what. I recently had a problem but didn't know it because I have morphine patches, fortunately my gp does keep a close eye on me.
Hi boycie, I know what you mean it is difficult to distinguish what is causing symptoms. I have ckd 3, fibromyalgia, hypermobility syndrome and autoimmune hepatitis (had is acute liver failure 2010 and had to have urgent transplant). There are also other problems. I am frequently unsure what causing what if that makes sense. Anita
Hi yes I have fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed at 50 with it. And at 56 with ckd 3a...plus other stuff not sure if its connected to fibro as my sister has it and her daughter but they don't have ckd....
Hi
I have stage 3 CKD [ GFR 37 ] I also have Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis, diagnosedd 14 years ago, then aged 54.. Maybe it's all to do with the immune system.?
I have stage 3 CKD [ gfr 37 ] I also have Polymyalgia Rheumatica [ what a mouthful ? ] and Giant cell Arteritis, diagnosed 14years ago at the age of 54.
Thanks for all the replies, I know this is going to sound strange and I wouldn't. Want anyone to have these diseases, but I am so glad of the support it is so very hard some days.
Hi know this is late but only just found mail
I have ckd 3b, have had fibromyalgia for about 21ish years, have hypermobility syndrome etc plus had liver failure with transplant in 2010 thpught to be due to autoimmune. My daughter is diagnosed with eds hypermobility type too.
Just realised i have replied to this twice before, sorry i blame fibrofog.
Wow, Thank god I have found these posts!
I have CKD3, from Alport Syndrome - born with it!
I also have a Hiatus hernia, which I have recently found out, through social media that it can go hand in hand with Alports.
I managed to contract Hep E, through undercooked pork in the New Year, and since then I have had terrible pain in my right shoulder - even just knitting makes it worse!!
I then had my hysterectomy (at last!) at the beginning of March, due to horrendous periods (they also found I had Polyps, cysts, adenomyosis & endometriosis)
I finally went to my GP about my shoulder as I am desperate to get back to work, I had an MRI & I have an appointment back at the GP to have fluid drained (I assume to test) & a Cortisone injection - with no other explanation as to what they have found.
So I started "googling" And guess what - all my symptom's point to Fibromyalgia!
Should I be scared, will I ever go back to work?????
