Hi Im Carol,Im 54 but was only diagosed with Dyslexia when I was 50.I had problems all through my school life and since. Although I can read, write and spell ok, I read very slowly, word -by- word. Words jump around on the page and I see something from 2 different parts of a page and it somehow links together in my head and makes absolute rubbish !! (At least I know its rubbish) So I have to read it again, very slowly. My main problems are co- ordination and auditory memory. I have never been able to do a jig-saw, or put flat packed furniture together with their instructions, just dont get it !! I also have memory issues because I have Fibromyalgia. Well, I look forward to chatting and sharing stuff with you all and reading blogs.

Welcome Carol! Nice to meet you.

I once called my boyfriend in an absolute panic convinced that Argos had given me two right side wardrobe doors. Apparently I had one of the doors the wrong way round. Flat pack furniture is evil!

You may already have had an Irlen Screening to see if a specific colour of overlay can help you when reading? Though I don't know if your difficulties are connected with your Fibromyalgia.
