Hi wildone,

I was diagnosed type 2 in September 2016. I am using a low carb, low sugar diet to lower my blood sugars, with my doctor's encouragement. I am a retired teacher and imagine my surprise, when I found out that my doctor was an old pupil at the school I taught at. How our positions have reversed!! Well, it is keeping me motivated to succeed, anyway!!

Yes. it's true you have to start looking after yourself sometime or other. Rather late than never in my case, because when you are young you think you can never grow old. It is hard to to do the right thing yourself when you live alone and there is no one to contradict you. How ever, it's going betttterrrr and I manage to get my sugar level lower than ten most of the time now.

Did you know that your old student was going to be a doctor?

No! Not at all. I hadn't set eyes on her for twenty years! She was a good student, however.
