Good morning Strange dreams again last night and remember them quite well, need to stop watching Narcos before falling asleep. It also seems my mind is waking up a little from the cloudiness of alcohol but also feeling the heaviness on my brain, like slight pressure. I know it will clear. Keeping busy works well for me and focusing on learning some spainish is helping. So what are other people's ways of changing habits and what works for them ???

Saludos (regards)

One of the benefits of sobriety is I got my feelings back. But on the other hand, one of the curses is that I got my feelings back.

The process has been a slow one. Learning what feelings I had. And then learning to accept them. Also, there’s one of the 12 Steps that allows me to have defective emotions and habits to be removed.

I think you’re doing a great job in finding distractions that keep you away from a drink. And your continued posting not only helps you, but helps me too.

Keep coming back.

Thank you so much ! I thought I was really losing it ! I have been “numb” I love spending time with family but couldn’t understand why I don’t feel the excitement I did without wine xx

You are losing it. Ha. Ha. You’ll be losing your old habits, attitudes, defects. Big changes are in store for you. Hold on for the ride if your life.

But all we have is today. Just do it for the day. Or moment to moment if that’s necessary.
