Just introducing myself. I’ve been a heavy drinker for most of my adulthood. I’m 37. When I was younger I’d get kicked out of bars and was very violent. I’ve suffered multiple concussions from my drinking. Over the years it’s gotten progressively worse until now I drink alone every night until I pass out. I’ve got to quit at least drinking alone, if not quit altogether. I’m so hungover right now I can’t eat anything and I’ve just been dry heaving hard all day. It’s terrible. I’ve never tried AA but am thinking of trying it. Any support would be appreciated.

Good on you for recognizing your problem earlier and having the courage to change. I think it only ever gets worse for people not better. You’re right I’m losing a lot of time drinking, spent drunk or recovering and it effects my health in so many ways. Thanks very much for your support.
