Hi my husband has right sided blindness in both eyes from his stroke six months ago . I was wondering if anyone else has had this condition and did it improve as my husbands seems to be the same after six months and is unable to drive which he is finding really hard to come to terms with . He is 65 , he was 64 when he had his major stroke causing his aphasia also . Thank you

Hi sorry to hear about your husband's stroke I was 41 when I had my stroke in 2020, I am also unable to drive. I hop to one day through the exceptional circumstances route, which I do qualify for. You can have a driving assessment and if they feel you have fully adapted you can drive again. Tell him not to give up hope and when he feels ready to look into it, to. Best wishes x

Thank you so much . I’ll pass your message onto him and hopefully it will encourage him to not give up hope completely x
