Banned from driving in 2004 I had my stroke in 2008. After 14 years I have never reapplyed for my licence. Can I and would I need to resitt a test ?

I'd ask the dvla, were you advised to stop riving after your stroke? You give no info as to how badly affected you were or anything.

I think after having a stroke, you cannot drive for just 6 months.

But in some circumstances it maybe as long as a year.

depending of course on your handicaps after the stroke,and may well be on a 3 year licence only.(pink in colour) as i have one..
