Hello all, I had a stroke bout 3 wks ago. It affected my right side & still have balance issues, numbness of my mouth & have problems writing & holding on to stuff at times. I have changed my diet tremendously & trying to adjust to these most aggrivating issues I'm left with. I am thankful is was not worse & I'm alive.

Hi there, this is my first post on a community forum, I too had a stroke 4 weeks ago, similar problems, numbness on right side of face , mouth, (inc loss of taste buds), and right hand, a bit clumsy now and seemed to have developed dyslexia ( thank god for spell checks). After in intial joy of surviving the stroke, reality has started to set in, resulting in depressing moods. How are you doing now?

Hi.

Yes that's the best policy.

You do need to stay positive & your right it could have been a different story.

3wks is a very early time in terms of recovery.

If you stay very positive from now on hopefully you will make big steps in terms of ongoing recovery.

Yes your diet is also a good thing.

Please let me know if I can help you further??

Steve.
