Dear All

I was a dialysis nurse in Turkey for 8 years but when I move to London unfortunately I have to give up my job :( So I know everything about the dialysis and what’s the feeling like and now my dad start to receive dialysis treatment in turkey plus he has cancer :( I m 32 weeks pregnant and single mum. And I really need my mum and dad come to London when I give birth. But unfortunately I couldn’t find any solution for him to receive dialysis in uk. Is there is anyone can help me for some information or to give me some idea about how can he receive dialysis in north London area. Thank you very much in advance 🙏 I wish you to all healthly life ❤️

Hi Rana I am very sad about your problem because it’s solution is difficult unfortunately.

I am a dialysis doctor in Turkey and I was the president of the association of the dialysis centers. Because of my these jobs, I know very well that Turkish social security institution (SGK) does not paid for dialysis treatment in the abroad, unfortunately. Only way you can paid the dialysis cost by yourself but it is too expensive in the UK.

I also will research if you can find some solutions about this issue. If I find some suggestions for you I will write again.

Rana as someone who was on dialysis for nearly five years and during that time was well looked after in dialysis units abroad I am so sympathetic to you’re parents situation. I sincerely hope you can find a solution and good luck on the birth of you’re baby.
