I am pretty sure that CAPD waste is not clinical waste. Certainly in the UK it isn't. It's treated in the same way as say a disposable nappy from a baby.

Thanks but where I live it's collected in big yellow bags marked Clinical Waste, and that's how my Renal unit refer to it. Just wondered how to dispose of it there, as there will be too many to bring back.

I first went on PD in Spain over 6 years ago and waste was disposed into general waste. When I returned to the UK July 2014 then my waste was collected in big yellow bags. However with no warning collection was stopped at Xmas 2014 by the NHS withdrawing the contract from the waste collection people. I contacted my MP and it went right to the top in Government, NHS and council waste collection services. Meetings were held with me and I have Emails from Government Ministers, senor NHS and council officer.

It was eventually decided that PD waste wasn't "Clinical Waste" but HD waste was and PD waste should be disposed of into general waste.

You can dispose used capd supplies in regular trash since there are no needles or blood involved (US law)
