Please can someone help me I found out a week last Saturday that my fistular stopped working when would I start dialysis

well your fistula stopped working does this mean that you hand not yet started dialysis or it stopped working when you were dialysis patient already. If you were a dialysis patient already you will need to go to the hospital and they [Doctors will fit a temporary line] either neck or grown whilst they fix the fistula. It could take 4 to 6 weeks before it starts working again. The arm will be very painful swelling at most times. Its very uncomfortable l have to be honest to you.

I went to the hospital in Swansea South Wales and they said I have to have another fistular in my arm

Thanks I am having new fistular 12 Jan then going onto dialysis

My first fitula was in the wrist and did not work. A second one was done in upper arm and I have been usin this for about 3 years. Not an uncommon occurrence I was told.
