Hi
You and your husband will find lots of help and support here if you need it. Any questions or worries-please ask. Most of us have been where he is now. Take care.
Hubby is on peritoneal dialysis at home has been for almost 3 yrs . Just ask if we can help
Our place is too small to do it at home. We may look atbit when tje kids have got tbeor own place after leaving uni jist oncase they end up back home.
Thanks for the repiles
Apart from storing fluids ( which can be in a garage / outbuilding the machine isn't very big at all
That's the problem we were tild tbey would build us a shed but we only have a small yard as a garden and no room without clutter till the kids go we met about 9 years ago and moved a huge 3 bedroom flat and a massive 3 bedroom appartment along with 1 child each and 50 years of stuff into a small 2 bedroomed house. The maths does not work.
We didn't think we'd manage but we did . Its made Such a difference to hubby healthwise and given us the freedom to live an almost normal Life ( whatever that may be lol) If you'd like my Email let me know it's nice to have someone who's been there done that to chat to
Hi,
I am 2.5 years with new kidney with no problems; waited only 18 months. Did your partner have the option to have PD rather than HD. I found it easier to cope/deal with and meant I could continue to work.
Unfortunately we don't have a room we can declutter till the kids leave home for good. So do at hus work they dont have the space or a place that would be clean enough etc to do day time pd,
