It is definitely a matter to be looked into by a good doctor specialising on diabetes.

Definitely not. Has your son been diagnosed with diabetes? Please take action, if he has not.

That is wrong ! If you ran a Marathon what would happen ? If you ran 3 marathons a week ?. Get out there & walk your legs off. I have two very good mates OFF all there T2 meds because they regularly exercise & eat healthy. The sooner you learn that the better for you. Sir Steve Redgrave is a T1. It should be called a different illness. Pls keep your thoughts to yourself. Very wrong !!!!!!

52yrs I have been T1. I have never let it stop me doing anything. I have never be unemployed in my life. Diagnosed when 3yrs old. Are you T1 or T2 ? Do you think I know what I am talking about ???? You please join the knitting club !!!!!

I'm also diabetic I control my diet and I play maximum I drink lots of water and it's really helping me a1c from 12.2% to 5.3%

My endocrinologist gives my example to his other patient I had mentioned only basic things which is in our hand

I was just sharing my experience and I had promised my doctor I will get rid of diabetes.

Having checked five sources, it is confirmed Sir Steve Geoffrey Redgrave is Type 2 Diabetes. It is interesting to note the following; In 1992, he was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. That is an inhibitor in itself, the fact that he was diagnosed with T-2 in 1997 may have been because his pancreas was wearing out from all the work it was getting - probable theory based upon analysis of the situation, very probable. It is very rare for a T-2 to go on an insulin pump but it was mentioned in NHS choices. It was a surprise to me for I too, thought he was T-1. Research is important before making a statement of fact. Even in this modern age there is possible to probable room for confusion at times.
