I'm a pre-diabetes with readings as on 09-08-2017- FBS-98; PPBS 158; HBA1C - 6.1; I'm 61yrs old. What are the complications if I take Metformin 850 daily once. Whether, I can take the tablet or can reduce the readings further by walking and diet. I want know whether there is a necessity to take the above tablet or not. Please advice me.

As 'Concerned' said- you should consult a Dr. for your medication dosage. That said, exercise and an improved diet can most certainly reduce if not eliminate your medication needs. It really varies from individual to individual. So pick up on the exercise and improve your diet, the results will follow. Go for it!
