Coconut oil and virgin co are the best cooking oils. Take them liberally. Don't forget to know the mct / lauric acid content of the oil you are using. Should be around 50%. More the better.
Coconut oil improves your lipid profile. Don't forget to cut down carbs. Carbs are responsible for bad lipid profile.
Tough question to answer... because there are conflicting views on this.
One one hand CC oil is Saturated... hence preferably avoided.
On the other hand they say that CC oil increases HDL hence can be taken.
Either way you have to remember that Total consumption of Any oil during one day should not be more than 5 teaspoons total.
Virgin Coconut Oil is the best of cooking oil along with Til Oil. "Coconut Oil Can Kill Harmful Microorganisms. Almost 50% of the fatty acids in coconut oil is the 12-carbon Lauric Acid. When lauric acid is digested, it forms a substance called monolaurin. Both lauric acid and monolaurin can kill harmful pathogens like bacteria, viruses and fungi". It helps to burn more fat. Google it to see more. It doesn't increase bad Cholesterol. You should avoid all kind of Refined and Physically refined oils including rice bran oil and canola oil . But traditional cold pressed oils much better. Most of the companies use steel rollers to press seeds to extract oils . In the heating process most of the good properties oil will be lost.
Nutritional science today is largely influenced by food companies.
Food industries want to sell seed oils which are highly processed with many chemicals.
So these are largely responsible for holding coconut oil as culprit and sell junk Soyabean oil or canola (con-o-la) Oil
Pharma goes hand in hand in keeping the bogey of "cholesterol" alive.
Cholesterol is critical for us
It's the inflammation which has to be taken care of
Inflammation is caused by highly processed oil and foods.
Just avoid / stop all bakery items including biscuits, fast foods, oils, sugars etc
Switch to cold pressed Coconut oil or butter and or ghee
Else small qty of cold pressed peanut oil. Til oil is useful when unheated. Til oil should also be cold pressed
In india We have always used cold pressed Mustard oil, peanut oil, coconut oil and til oil.
Stick to These and the best is coconut oil
Also olive oil not to be heated
THANKS EVERYONE
Only coco.oil shud not to be used. Virgin Organic Coco.oil shud be used. Any oil has Saturated Fat. In Sa.Fat there r Trans Fat, mufa & pufa. The VOCO has 10-11% Trans fat. 82-83% mufa & pufa. So it is good for health. But one shud eat mix OILS. Mix Oils means u shud not stuck with one type of oil. Use Virgin Organic Olive Oil for salad dressing & other Raw use. VOCO in subji making. Also shud use Organic Sunflower oil for daal making.
Mixing of all oil give u the best result. Theses all oil contains different different vitamins & minerals. So u can get max.benefits of it.
VOOO (Virgin Org. Oliv.Oil) is the best one for Raw use. It contains only 7% trans fat.
Aggregate total 5 tsp oil per day is healthy option.
