I was reading a very nice book by Dr.Ray Strand-'What your Doctor Doesn't know about nutritional Medicine,May be killing you'.
Book is all about nutritional medicines...However,Dr.Strand is mainly talking about ,cause of all degenerative deceases is harm created by free radicals... antioxidants...and helping body to create more antioxidant to nullify the effect of free radicals...
He is giving many examples of ppl regaining health once on nutritional supplements...
This reminded me about one ancient Ayurveda technique called ' कायाकल्प '...
In recent time....Pt.Madan Mohan Malviyajee -Founder of Banaras Hindu Vishvavidyalaya went thru this procedure in year 1938.
However he died in 1946...just 8 years after this procedure...
We do not know what was out come and how much ' कायाकल्प ' benefited panditjee.
It is said....'Chyvanprash' helps body to create more antioxidants. But since chyavan prash contains Honey it is forbidden for a diabetic.Further there are many herbs to be used to make chyvanprash ,mentioned in ancient scriptures are not available.
I request our senior mentors of this forum may contribute there thoughts on nutritional approach for diabetes.
I am curious about Co Q10,Grape seed extracts....and effect of same on sugar level.

Plz....do not search for 'Quack' Ayurveda practitioners for ' कायाकल्प '....
Plz read....it was in 1938...when Panditjee went thru this....after 1938 there is no mention of authentic experiment in India.
' कायाकल्प ' is total approach which treats mind....soul..and body...
Hey funny part.......Person has to be on LCHF in this....
In ' कायाकल्प 'Person has to be on diet of 'Chyvanprash' Made as per the scriptures. And has to stay alone in hut specially made for the treatment.Meditation is required...
And food is allowed only 'Charu'..Charu is rice cooked in herbs and mixed with 'Ghee of cow.
