Which of the two is preferable for the health of kidneys of a diabetic, among other things: low fat curds or diluted buttermilk?

Diluted curd & buttermilk are two entirely different things. Buttermilk is believed to have some medicinal properties & is edible under all health/ill-health conditions. It will bring down alcoholic intoxication level almost instantaneously.

Buttermilk is one of the intermediate drinks recommended in Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen (LWMDR) which cured my Diabetes Mellitus Type 2.

Thanks a lot for your prompt response, which's confirmed a homoeopathy doctor's observation.

Accordingly to Ayurveda Curd should be avoided in certain cases. You may take Takra (butter milk) only up to after noon , after that buttermilk also not advised.

Curd may increase pitta which may lead into increase of BS level due to Pitta

you are a diabetic, we suggest following Ayurvedic Aushadhies for you which will be very beneficial to protect you against complications due to Diabetes to kidnies, heart and feet nerves .

You are suggested to take

1) Punarnava Churna 5 Grams empty stomach and 3 grams at 3 pm every day.

2) We suggest you to undergo for RFT Test which will exactly assess the renal function of your body and will be helpful for us to know how good your kidnies is . Please don't forgot due to frequent changes in BS level your kidneys may be effected worstly.

Please get this report done in a reputed pathology lab and report to us for further counseling.
