Walk in the Hot Sun, Work Hard or do Excercise like Cycling Swimming, running etc. Go trecking up to a nearby hillock or mountain. Eat less rice, more vegetable, moderate fat food, green tea, green coffee. Bitter gourds. eat 10-30 grains of Black cuminis (Black Jeera) after food just like you chew Badi souph.

One of my frieiend recently did all this and Doctor asked him what he did to low the sugar he had in his body. He said there was som urgent work to be finished, so he was forced to work in Open sunlight for 2 days. Ate rice (Kanji), and workded hard, forgot to take tablets that doctor gave. The doctor and My self got the clue. He told me this story 3 months back when I was on my vacation. Whenever possible I stand and workout in the open sunlight daily. My BS never harm me now, as I follow my friend. Also suggest your mind not to panic, and this diabetes is completely curable, unlike all the current beliefs of many people and medical persons. "YOU EAT AND WORK HARD" with this body of ours. Never rest until you cure yourself. Never believe others or other patients openion, never tell in the open esp. to other patients about your BS percentage in the blood or the medicine you take, because, you will be shelled with lots of other alternative medicines and his experience, that you will be wavering and tempted to try this and that, ending up in disaster. KEEP your COOL.

As you might be aware, diabetes is not a disease and hence cannot be cured. You can only manage it by lowering the blood sugar levels.

Please consider the following suggestions .These are based on my personal experience of 18 years as a diabetic.

Management of sugar levels is a tough job but is not impossible if you realize that the task is essentially in your own hands. The doctor or dietician may guide you but ultimately it is you who has to put into practice all that has been learnt. Diet control makes maximum difference in a diabetic condition. Avoid sugar, sweets, and any food that is loaded with sugars like mango, banana etc. Also avoid vegetables like potato, beet, etc that grow underground and contain plenty of starch. Eat more of sprouts, vegetables and greens that give you fiber, minerals and vitamins. Eat less of rice, wheat and other cereals rich in carbohydrates and demand more insulin for converting to energy. The idea should be to reduce consumption by least 100 to 200 calories per day to gain significant results.

After diet, exercise plays a very important role. Walking or jogging for 40 to 60 minutes a day will improve your glucose metabolism significantly and spend about 200 calories.

Last but not the least one should lead a stress free life style. Stress is a recognized trigger for diabetes. Practice relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, yoga, music etc.

You should go for quarterly check ups and annual comprehensive review with an experienced diabetologist and follow the prescriptions scrupulously

Ultimately the most important person in your diabetes management is Y O U.

Hi ravibairathi1951,

You too can EVEN cure your diabetes yourself like me.

TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. THAT IS WHY PATIENTS ARE FORCED TO MOVE FROM EXERCISE TO DIET CONTROL TO LOW DOSE TABLETS TO HIGHER DOSE TABLETS TO INSULIN INJECTION AND COMBINATIONS OF THESE. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO TEMPORARILY TILL CURE.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. It will affect SEX life also, if diab is not contained. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

A DIABETES PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it like me.

While following the Long-wheat diet explained in the article referred below, non-vegetarians can have MEAT/FISH/EGG in moderate quantities as side-dishes/curries.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.

Do you want to see my experience and blood sugar history from 2006 to 2013? Those are reported at: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... If you want only HOW TO DO, GO TO appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...
