I have just received a letter from my GP to say I can no longer use BD Mcrofine pen needles and have to switch to a cheaper brand which I know to be less comfortable nay one else had this happen ?

Yes this happened to me a couple of years ago. My needles are a cheaper brand but have had to get used to them. They are a totally different brand to my insulin pen but they do the job. What annoyed me more was when my GP would no longer supply the lancets and strips to my Bauer glucose meter. They gave me a cheap plastic meter which I refused to use as it was giving me the wrong readings.
