LCHF diet is basically eating nuts, meats, veggies and items with protein. Has your doctor suggested that you go Low Carb High Fat?

Doctor didn't suggested any, but i want to reverse my diabetics. so after my google search i found this. Can u suggest me whether LCHF diet helps me to reverse my diabetics

You can also add exercise with the LCHF diet. Both can help control your blood sugar, but you have to ask your doctor about what you can do before you do anything to be on the safe side.

Yes - I am doing the 8 week blood sugar diet and am getting good results. Book available on Amazon cheaply. Dr Michael Moseley inspirations. Read it and give it a go

LCHF isn't necessarily good for everyone and you should check with your GP before embarking on any new diet. I eat lower carb and little or no processed foods and nothing with added sugars. My blood glucose is now in the lower end of pre-diabetes (6.3) and going down towards non-diabetic range, weightloss is slow but I feel so much better in myself and proud for getting BG down.

MY LCHF DIET. @. Pvn1...You have asked my diet........... My diet...is as under.

I am now 65 ( Aug-2017),diabetic for 25 years,weight 60 kg. and Ht -157cm.

-I started T2 in 1992 with random BS -386 mg/dl. -I take daily about 1500-1600 calories diet, with 80-100 gm carbs,60-70 gm protein ,and about 100-120 good fat...LCHF Details.... (1)Morning-7.30 am.-Sugar less black tea with lemon.Some time one or two Marie biscuits.

-Then 30 minutes walking in bright sun followed by some yoga for 10-15 minutes.

(2) 9 am-A small apple OR few blue berries/ few cherries/small Banana/small pear/few grapes/ Small mango/... ( any such seasonal low carb small, a 100 gm fruit).

(3)10 am -BF- Either, 2 egg omelette mixed with lot of veggies like mushroom/palak/Cabbage/broccoli/ cauliflower/etc. made in ghee or butter..plus additional Cheese...

OR- Bason chilla,Paratha,OR mixed floor chilla(little wheat/some Jowar/or pulses etc flour) along with all veggies as above.

OR -Some times-Poha/ Upma/ Idli/dosa.. one of it in small quantity -100 gm.with lots of Pudina/coconut chatni.... plus Cucumber, carrots etc.( i love to eat fresh coconut meat on and off)

(4) 11.30 am-sugar less black tea/ coffee/ butter milk with full cream.(any one-abt-250 ml).Some Nuts...

(5)1-1.30 pm-LUNCH-one 9"wheat Roti with butter or ghee,with Stir fried ( in ghee/butter) 150-200 gm any one low starch veggie like Okra/egg plant-brinjal/ Dudhi/ gowar/ peppers or seasonal)..plus 100 gm Dal curry.

This Roti is some times replaced with 100-150 gm cooked rice.

OR ...100-150 gm roasted chicken or fish with lot of green salad, Full cream curd /Cheese or butter and little cooked rice.

(6) 4.30-5.30-- High Tea... (1) sugar less black tea. Mixed sprouted Mung, fenugreek , Sprouts of gram, etc sprinkled with lot of powder-chutney made from freshly roasted n coursely ground flax seeds, fenugreek, cummin seeds etc

and/ or (2) 100 gm mix of ---12 hours soaked Peanuts (25-30 no.), 10/15 Soaked Almonds, 2-3 walnuts, sunflower nuts, pecan nuts, etc... also a boiled egg.

(7) 9 PM-Dinner- some low carb veggies soup. Plus small chapati or little rice with lot of Stir fried vegetables OR roasted chicken/fish.with cheese..n salads.

(8) late night snack-(some time)--cheese stick/one Marie biscuit/small fruit.

Once a while - Some little quantity of sweet like gulab Jamuna, jalebi,laddu,ice Cream etc .

Also I include lot of fresh ginger, pudina, turmeric powder, flax seeds.fenugreek etc in food.

(9) MEDICINES- Tab Reclimate(500)-1-1/2-1/2.

( For T2) ( total 1000 mg)

Tab-Olmezest 10 mg .once (for BP)... Supplements- vit D3, vit B., calcium.

(10) Current reports - BP 130/80.... SUGAR -90/138.. .A1c-5.4...All Lipids are in very normal range.

(Same Reports for almost 4 years since I started LCHF...Prior to this A1c was 8.5... all lipids on high ..TG was 300)

No other diabetic complications as yet.

For every food you eat, count the carb....

Many here have benefitted.
