Thanks
Thanks a lot. Just want to know precautions to be taken and what to do to make it under control. N is it dangerous? Or manageable?
@nandini121,
If fasting sugar is around 200 & Post Lunch around 500, it is definitely dangerous.
You need to get in to action mode immediately.
That said, there are two things that you can do :
1) Get in touch with your Doctor ( someone with whom you are comfortable & is a good listener ) immediately & under his / her guidance, start the treatment. He / She will be able to take a look at you, keeping in mind all the parameters in addition to Diabetes & then guide you accordingly.
2) Along with that, take a look at the links given in the post that I have mentioned previously & start implementing them. You will find, that over a very short period of time, you will be able to reduce your medicines to the minimum required. Start off with bloodsugar101.com & also try to get Dr Bernstein's book.

That said, Post the details required here, like your diet, medicines, etc., and some one should be able to get you on the way.
Thanks
Thank you all. N need more support and advice to maintain glucose sugar level and good health

All allopathic medicines have side effects in the long run & some in the short run.
Metformin is supposed to be the safest drug for Diabetes as far as I know. Next in line is Insulin.

I would reverse the order.
Proper food ( Diet ), Exercise / Walk would be the way to go.
As requested earlier, post your details ( diet / food, medicines, etc ) & it would enable one to see, whether you can manage your diabetes only by diet & minimum medicines or whether you will have to depend heavily on medicines, at least in the beginning.
Thanks
