Oh gosh. Maybe because you accelerated your metabolism? A great place to look for an answer would be an online phamplet on diabetes and exercise. Or a nurses site for diabetes answers.

I don't think its a real problem as blood sugar is supposed to go up with exercise. We're just not metabolising it. Try DiabetesUK website.

I imagine the danger comes if you have a hyper.

If the exercise is strenuous the body "reads" it as stress and releases adrenaline in response. The adrenaline causes release of glucose in the blood as well as production of new glucose by the liver (gluconeogenesis). This cause the increase in blood sugar. So you have to regulate the pace of your exercise. Many diabetics think that the more strenuous the better but this is not the case. moderate exercise in shorter but more frequent intervals is what is recommended.
