It only in Jan 2014 that it is approved for treatment of dm2.Weight loss, weakness, exacerbation of urinery track infection are some of the side effects. It increases the frequency of urination very much.

Do you have any kidney problem?By the way watch your blood sugar and continue the medicines as prescribed.Youhave not written any thing about your diet, which is a very important aspect of diabetic control.

Exenetide is a very costly medicine. If other simpler methods to control diabetes are effective, then no need to go for newer and very costly medicines.

Recently gone on and heavily reduced my carbs and little sugar. Am losing weight, bloods are significantly lower but side effects are noticeably especially if I eat bread, and other yeasty foods. Having no pasta, brown rice only. Diet is quite strict but side effects keep rearing ugly head. Hoping to stay on it as this is the best med I have ever had!

Never gone to the loo so much in all my life on this drug. Cup of tea seems to go straight through me. Occasionally haven’t made it in time to get to toilet. Thinking of giving up after two weeks. Quality of life has vanished.
