MALTODEXTRIN GI >100 (higher than glucose😥), sold as a low calorie sweeter but will certainly spike blood glucose. Should diabetics avoid?

I’m a type 1 diabetic (have been so for 30+ years), neglected myself in the past, now armed with the Libre2 device and many BG daily scans, my estimated Hb A1c is now 6.7% ☝️👏. Happy. Not sure about this sweetener: “Silver Spoon”, 93.7g carbohydrates/100! Very high CHO content. Should we be extra careful when counting CHO portions viz DAFNE?
