Hello,

"The non-diabetic, HbA1c 'normal' range is 20-42 mmol/mol.!

Your reading is 44?, no problem

You do not need any private blood test. Wait for three months and ask your GP for another blood test.

Life style change and regular exercise important, food and drinks portion size s well, also height to waist ration.

Belly fat, you need to look at timed controlled eating, try and leave minimum 15 hours between your dinner and breakfast.

HbA1C is 90 day average, you can ask for fasting blood glucose teats as well.

Give it a try.
