My mom has diabetes type 2. I checked her sugar today and it was 270. I want the best for her and it really scared me the fact that it's high. I want to help her, I love her. I don't really know much about this, however I would like to help her make a meal plan. I will like to learn more about it.

If she has insurance, a dietitian is a good resource. It depends on her body. She may be able to get away with eating 50 carbs per meal or she may need to do a more ketogenic diet to keep her blood sugar in control. Test regularly and follow the doctor's advice, make sure she takes her meds.
