I’ve been having lots of mouth ulcers lately. The latest one I got around 3 weeks ago and it’s getting worse. It’s extremely painful all around the tooth and gun and got so big it’s rubbed on my tooth and it’s got black inside it. Nothing seems to be helping. Anyone had similar experience and found anything that’s helped ? Thank you

It looks as though you could have bitten the inside of your cheek, the black could be a bruise however to be sure I would definitely get it checked by your dentist. Generally a mouthwash - Corsodyl speeds up healing of mouth ulcers etc you can buy it in pharmacies/major supermarkets. For instant pain relief try Orajel which is benzocaine local anaesthetic dab a tiny bit on and it numbs the spot for a short time.

Usually, mouth ulcers may arise due to the lack of Vitamin-B. Some irritations in the stomach like, indigestion of food can also pave the way to mouth ulcers. Common mouth ulcers that are white or red can be cured easily by having hot water, avoiding spicy and non-veg food items, etc. However, continuous formation of these ulcers have to be properly treated by a dental expert as it can cause significant complications in the future. But in your case, I don't think it's a mouth ulcer. This may be an injury caused by a wrong bite or the sharp edges of the tooth. Same problem happened to me few months back, I was unable to open my mouth completely because of increased pain. I went to my nearest dental clinic [ emergency-dental-365.com/] and my dentist told me about the severity of mouth issues. So,you should go and see a dentist because it can get worse if you don't check it at the right time.
