Has any one who has had dbs found they have a funny sensation in their head?
What kind of funny sensation? Tony
My head is still numb from the op in January. Its like I get this feeling of my head going tight reaching a peak and then relaxing again . The best way to describe it is like having a contraction .
Is it all the time or occasionally? Getting worse? It could be unrelated to DBS and to some other nerve sensation--like a pinched nerve. I did not have the experience you describe. Tell your Neuro as soon as possible, but don't worry about it. Healing takes a while--strange sensations are not uncommon.
Well I do have sensations that come and go....like sharp pinpricks allover my head, which I was told was expected. Also on the right and the back of my head, where the wire is, i cn feel the pull..DBS on Nov 15th...Have had three tunings
I had DBS in 2006! Had new updated unit put in because battery finally died! I have always had "sensations" and tightening! Everyone I have mentioned it to my Nuero, he just says that means its working! So ask your Nuero! Hope this helps!
