I was told I had Pd after a small stroke in 2009. The doctor put me on all kinds of Pd pills. I started having seizures and soon after Tia's. Last December, my husband called 911. My body was shutting down from being over medicated by my own doctor. Of course the hospital made it seem like my mistake. And my husband takes care of all my medicine and such. Since then, I was removed from almost all but a few pills, and I feel better than ever! My seizures are less and the Tia's are going down too. My tremors and other problems are letting up. Can anyone explain this? I am so happy. I hope I am not dreaming. Sorry to be so long in writing but I am amazed at what is going on.?!

Questions in my mind now.
Please define Tia's
Transient Ischaemic Attack, A sudden lack of blood to the brain for some reason.
A TIA is what some people call a "mini-stroke".
Make sure you are seeing a movement disorder neurologists. A good one should not have performed this way.

Hello All,
My mother, who does not have Parkinson's, was having TIA's fairly regularly and just after Christmas I asked her doctor if her carers could give her a magnesium citrate tablet twice a day because I read that 80% of people in western countries were deficient of this mineral to varying degrees. He agreed and she has not had a TIA since. Now, of course, this could be a coincidence, but the increase in this macro mineral in her body might also be the reason. I chose magnesium citrate because it is 19% absorbable compared with the cheaper magnesium oxide of which is only 4% absorbable.

The doctor that over-medicated me, I am still seeing because my husband says he is still a good dr. (I, refer to him as dr. A-ho my self) but then again, I am a person who has no close living family members and I am very withdrawn into myself with no confidence. I also suffer from terrible migraines too. Both my parents had these. And though my father was never diagnose, I remember him having seizures and restless legs.
Sandie, sounds like you think the meds are responsible for seizures and TIAs, am i reading you right? What meds are or were you on? I wonder if you are under the care of a neurologist as well as your doctor. Glad to hear things have improved.
