Hi

Yes my hubby was prescribed it a few years ago now and it was very effective for a couple of months. Unfortunately the side effects caused him to have hypotension and. Had to come off it. As you probably know everyone is different and reactions are an individual thing, so good luck with it. Peteb has had PD now for 18yrs and still plodding on bless him. He remains very involved in our branch as chairman and rarely gives into the disease, I have only admiration for him . God Bless all you sufferers x

Hi I am living in France and have had very good treatment for my Parkinsons. I have had Parkinsons for 12yrs for the first 9 yrs it was controlledn with Requip until I reached the maximum dose. Then after that it was down hill for a while as I started teking levadopa and for me it was not compattible with the Requip I tried various other drugs with it but to no avail.I am now on the Apokinon 24 hrs a day changed twice a day. Itt is for the tremblement that it is very good for me and it seems to stop me blocking up to much. Last year I was admitted to Hospital at Toulouse University Hospital for my meds to be sorted out as I had far to much trembles and as a result I am just on the Apokinon without anything else. If you do decie to try it go to somebody that knows about the drug and the amount you are given by debit per hour. So far It is good for me.

Never heard of this drug therapy. Does it help and what symptoms does it help? Good luck with it.

It does help me a lot as when I begin to tremble or feel a little bit fixed I can give myself an extra dose.I recommend anyone to read my personal profile

I always thought this would be the way to go with a continuous med. not available in USA though Apokyn is not l-dopa but acts very similar Good luck! Hope goes well !
