That is really bad that you feel the need to do this.Do you live in the U.K ? if so go on monthly perscriptions and get them every three weeks. That way you will always have extra for that bad day.

I would not trust any drug bought over the net from these online pharmacies, neither should you. If you get constipation are you able to regulate by diet? Your doctor can give you a safe medicine for that if you ask him, constipation is best treated by diet if possible.

I always thought a regular prescription was for a months supply unless it is a short term drug.

Are you meaning to say you take more than is prescribed, and they only last a week?

Perhaps I dont understand the post correctly.

I dont think the odd extra Madopar will hurt if it helps, but I get the impression you are taking too many, which can cause severe constipation and other problems in themsleves. Are you?

Hi i am on Madopar, i take two three times a day after a meal or snack.I also have to take one Seligine in the morning. If i for.get a dose i take an extra one the next time.I find this works out quit well As for constipation it depends on your food intake and what you drink. Please see your Doctor to get this problem sorted.I hope this comment helpsx

Hi export,my husband takes madopar and sinemet he has for the last 8 1/2 years,he has had pd for 15 years. He is now taking a med for his constipation, apparently the pd is affecting his bowels and he needs help to go.He eats a varied diet and he eats quite healthily but it doesn't help.

He now takes Movicol(Molaxole) up to 3 times a day. This has helped a lot.It is a powder that you add water to,he also puts in some dilute juice as the drink tastes fowl.

Maybe speak to your neurologist or nurse and see about getting the meds upped by an extra tablet or 2 a day

taking something for the constipation helps the meds work better,my husband has found that they work better if he is going regularly.

Hope this helps,

Did you get your DBS sorted out the other month?
