Has DBS changed your anxiety/depression either way?

If so do you know if the placements were in the subthalamic nucleus or globus pallidus?

Hi etterus

I had DBS in july 2005 along with another chap the same week. Both were to the STN. He was quite depressive before the op while I have always been a upbeat person. He got very depressed almost to the manic level. I went the other direction ....invinceable totaly euphoric . DRove my wife nuts ...every 5 min was going to do something else. After about a year we both settlled down to what was "normal" for each of us . Hope this helps

I haven't found my DBS to have affected either one still have both
