Sorry to appear ignorant, but I have had PD for about 3 years, and I do not know what Dyskinesia is. Perhaps there are one or two others out there who are also unsure.
Haas anybody got a minute or two to explain?

I had it, and my new doctor cut my meds down, and instantly it went away. I was being over medicated.
last week we tried 1 & 1/2 pills every other time, as i usually was taking one every four hours (SENIMET) well, it started again, and I phoned my doctor and stopped the extra 1/2 and bingo, immediately it stopped again. I don't know haw much meds you are taking but it is worth a shot to ask you doctor about it.
keep me posted...............

I believe under medication and over medication can produce the same results.
I either have to stay sat down or move. I am unable to stand still for more than a few minutes before my feet start, then legs, which moves up to body jerks if I dont move.
Also unable to lie down flat as it is like a fit.
I reckon if only I was Fred Astaire I make a living from it.
But I had it before any medication so that could be an answer.
I only got it recently. I've had to up my meds so I'm doing the one legged cancan 3 or 4 times a day.
Which leg you doing it with?
let me know we can do it together.
But dont ask me to wear frilly knickers.
Thank-you all of you .
My neuro is going to try stopping it by the DBS She has ask me not to take my morning dose on Friday which I am not looking forwards to

Meds and being over medicated casue the incontrolable movements, I was so bad my left arm would ht my friends arm as she drove. After my DBS implants this stopped I was taking 900 pills a month, Oddly I didn't know when I was moving this way, but it sure burns calories. I shook inside for 9 yrs and then PD moved to my right side then I did double time and now I don't.
Also being upset makes these movements.

I seem to have the most dys kinesia as I'm wearing off... anybody else?
I cannot thank you all enough for the help you have given me. I seem to have this in the morning when my meds have had longest between doses. If I start at 6am, I can get all my doses in by 11 pm. But this explains why I bounce off the walls on my way down the hall to the kitchen, where my meds live. It takes about 30 mins for the meds to start kicking in.
Again, thank you all

My Movement Nero is going down on sinemet to see if that helps but so far no help.
Have a Blessed Day

I have a lot of dyskinesia a lot of the time. It always happens at the time the meds kick in and when they kick out and can now also happen at any time during the course of the dose. Parkinson's UK's fact sheet on Motor Fluctuations is a very useful source of information about dskinesia's:
"Dyskinesia is a medical term for movements, other than tremor, that are not intended or willed by the person concerned. These involuntary fidgety movements can include twitches, jerks, twisting or writhing movements, or simple restlessness. The exact cause of dyskinesias is unknown, but they seem to be connected to the excessive dopaminergic stimulation brought about by levodopa treatment. Like early ‘wearing-off’ and the ‘on/off’ syndrome, it is assumed that they are the result of a combination of levodopa treatment and the progression of Parkinson’s."
