I've been taking requip since december and have just started supplimenting this with stalevo. I have noticed my right foot has become very swollen and a little painful. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Swolen ankles/feet - anything to be worried about?
I had the same problem when I was taking Requip. Problem went away when I came off it. Tony x
I had that when I was taking Mirapex with Stalevo. I no longer take the Mirapex. Swelling is down but not totally gone. Could be medication, but don't rule anything out. Evey case is diffferent.
Me too! I had to have my requip reduced, as it got so bad I could hardly walk some days. Now its not so bad. xx
I get it on no meds-I think when I dont drink enough water..
I TOO HAD THE FAT FOOT AND ANKLE THING UNTIL I CAME OFF STALEVO - SO PKEASED NOT TO BE TAKING THOSE HORRIBLE RED TABLETS - WHCH MAKE PUR WEE SMELL AND A HORRIBLE COLOUR TOO ...
Yes requip c*used swelling , weight gain and red marks around ankle whi0h DID NOT GO AWAY
Damned if you do, damned if you don't. The medications are sometimes a double edged sword.
I think it's the stalevo with me - i''ve been taking requip since december and have been ok. Just started the stalevo recently and thats when the feet and ankles went 'boom'. Think I'll make an appointment with my parks nurse to discuss as it's also kind of uncomfortable/tingly. Thanks to all for the replies, it's good to find out what others have experienced.
I cut back on my Requip and still have swollen feet and ankles, plus a red mark across my ankles. I am going to see a new neuro doctor at the end of the month. I hope he says I can quit taking it. Oh, and have gained 15 pounds on the stuff. Not good!
Tried reducing Requip dose and started having nightly foot cramps-----I can tolerate the edema, wgt gain and redness but NOT the foot cramps.
Just after I started requip when I took the evening pill 6 pm mr right leg would swell up and get sunburn red, after about an hour it was back to normal. It got pretty sore, in fact it started with my very second pill. I now just take requip but Fri I add azilect, don't know what to expect, but the with this eveything is new, not always better.
Sounds as of your suffering more that I am, but swollen feet and ankles are part of every day for me. I've had some relief with compression socks, ice packs and elevating my feet. Sometimes though I can't sit still for putting up my feet, so the compression socks are the most helpful.
Do your legs cramp?
