Chewing gum also helps me stay awake when I start yawning and feeling tired.

Exaggerated smiling and frowning exercises has worked for me. Also, I try to be aware that I need to swallow. My neuro prescribed Amantadine.

I was told that we drool because we don't swallow enough. So swallow more.
