Sounds interesting but annoying maybe, I know one of the things thats irritates me is when people some friends who have known us for a long time well before parkinson's reared it head 17yrs ago. they say to me or my husband oh you do look so well and when they see him in a freeze or looking non engaging, and ask me not him is he alright. despite many attempts to educate them that his medication is working or has worn off etc. and he can still be spoken to . It does not appear to register. I still feel you have to live the disease to know the true nature and effects of the disease. Great to share thanks will look it up
Sue, its 'does he take sugar' scenario rearing its head again. Rich (my husband) is very firm with people who behave like this when we’re together. He declines to answer & asks them to address me directly. On a good day I chat around the subject explaining that I’m perfectly able to reason & speak for myself. On a bad day or if I’m approached by someone with ‘attitude’ I tell them that I may have Parkinson’s but I’m not brain dead.
