I am sure I have spoken about this many many times but it flooded my head again today so here's a recap. I manage with the lack ofco-ordination, stiffness, pain, incontinence, the catatonic foot and all the rest of the 'body' type stuff. What annoys me the most is...
Loosing words mid sentence
Not being able to concentrate enough to read a book
Not being able to spell
Talking gobbledygook and then 're-engaging' knowing I did
Suddenly falling asleep for a few seconds
Being catastrophically untidy
Worrying about what people think
Driving to Tesco feeling overwhelmed and driving out
Making it into Tesco, looking at all the products on the shelves feeling overwhelmed and walking out
Making it to the Tesco check out getting home and discovering I bought nothing we needed
Getting over anxious if my to-do list has more than one thing on it
Turning into an incompetent ninny at airports
BUT
there's marmite, haribo, hugs, music, cherries, a sunrise, the noise of the sea, picnic's, friends, dancing in the rain, the smell of a new puppy, painting, drums (of course) wearing a tutu ......
Don't let it get to you, don't let it rub out who you are, keep filling life in again....
Just say NO! it won't, it can't, I'm not letting it!
I've taken the liberty of editing your blog & adapting it to suit my own condition.

My take on it:
I usually introduce myself as having PD & giving a brief explanation of how it might affect our interaction
I NEVER apologise for having PD
I NEVER feel embarassed about having PD - I've explained at intro
I NEVER let pass comments from others wich are rude, patronising or ignorant re PD whether addressed to me or others with me.
On the whole people are receptive, caring & polite, not just about PD. I find that when people behave out of this mould it is generally because they are AFRAID.
This makes them uncomfortable & awkward.
You know you just have to feel sorry for them.....
If Tesco is like a supermarket, forget it. I'm shopping online from now on. Crowds make me nuts . Don't know why I live in NYC. I hear ya, H-H, communication was always difficult. Now it's overwhelming! I can read a book, and have to laugh, because I will be 3/4 through and realize, I've read it before!
