Tell me about domperidone please

My GI recommends it strongly , but the pd doc is silent. I take ropinerole with compulsive eating as a side effect in spite of the gastric problems. Will my compulsion worsten with taking another dopa agonist?

As I understand it , domperidone is taken to help with sickness which is a side effect of one of your other meds. I was prescribed it when I had sickness when taking a med I am no longer on..I was told not to take it for a long period of time. I did find it helped.

Hi,

I also take the dompery, aka Motillium, i take it for sickness due to ropinarol, i have been sick from the first day i started ropinarol, i now have to take sinimet , still feel sick , but what the hell , i just get on with it, hope your sickness dies down

my PD drugs make me feel so sick and the Domperidone gets rid of it,

I've been taking Requipxl 16mg daily for 8 yrs since I was dxd. I have experienced bouts of 'binge eating' over the lst 2.5yrs which my support team think is the cause. I wonder....Perhaps sometimes it might be useful not to have a list of possible side-effects about meds as this could trigger the inappropriate behaviour. Some time ago I was prescribed Lyrica for PD pain. I put on 2stone in 2 months & rising. Have you tried Omeprazole. 20mg capsule? They seem to be the major anti-nausea treatment in this part of UK & they work (for most of us). Also I have found that my nausea is usually associated with dizziness: it's chicken & egg time.

It works for me if i take my meds on an empty stomach,otherwise i feel very nauseas.
