Hello all!

My husband Pwp has to take it to move his food along. It is available here in Canada but I am not sure in the US.
Thanks so much for the information. Looks like my doctor he’s going to help me with getting a prescription. Any side effects for your husband?
He had no side effects and it helps with the nausea. I can't exactly remember but I think the pharmacist said there is a potential side effect (concerning the heart) if taken with an SSRI. However, it is so rare that it is not an issue. He has been on it for over 2 years and there have been no problems.
Thanks so much for the information. I am not on any SSRIs so I should be OK I’m hoping. I don’t need it for nausea and in as much as for the motility in my gut. What happens for me is anytime I eat anything or drink anything but mainly foods my whole body shakes until it’s completely digested and it is a relative pain in the ass! Lol
Can you tell me what Canadian pharmacy you use? I just received a notation from my doctor stating that they will give me the prescription but I have to find a Canadian pharmacy that has a doctor that will actually take my script and then prescribe it to me from Canada. Does it make sense?
When I was first diagnosed with pd and given sinemet I had considerable nausea. My doctor recommended domperidone, available only from Canada. I got a rx, took it, and within a few days my nausea disappeared and has never returned (I've had several incidents of nausea since but most likely caused by something other than C/L). This is near;y 20 years later.
I wish I could go to Canada to get a prescription. I mean even if there We’re no Covid could I get a prescription anyway?
My husband was given it for nausea with Kinson C/L but we decided that he wouldn’t take the domperidone unless desperate as he reacts badly to most medications , then he changed to madopar and that wasn’t as bad, and now he rarely gets it. We are careful to separate the madopar from any protein by at least an hour.
It's been almost 20 years since I had the prescription filled, but I'm sure it's available to those of us who have an MDS whi's willing to write you the rx. Who prescribed domperidone? Ask him/her to fill an rx. And then online I found a number of pharmacies in Canada who would accept it. search.aol.com/aol/search?s... pharmacy domperidone
Had no trouble in California. Any competent neurologist should be able to get you a prescription. My Movement Disorder Specialist is Dr. Nengchun Huang in Los Gatos Calif. Call the office and tell them that Jon Scoville, one of his patients, recommended him. theparkinsonclinic.com/about-
