It is simply strange and only people with PD or PSP etc could understand - how at night I can’t walk and have to be helped home and by morning can fast walk 5k with sticks….strange…but it is what it is….we fight on!!! fightingparkinsonss.com/202...

0k then 5k

The mysterious phenomenon of motor fluctuations in PD is all too familiar to me. I often experience stiffness, especially after long periods of inactivity in the evening, such as when watching a movie. After walking an impressive 15,000 steps during the day, it’s hard to ignore my partner’s puzzled glance as I stumble to bed.
When I was diagnosed with PD they mentioned the "Sundowning effect" People are normal during the early part of the day but late in the evening they develop neurologic symptoms.
Completely resonate with this. Early morning I can run a 5k (parkrun) in around 25 mins (used to do sub-20 back in the day😁). However if I try an evening run I get really bad toe curling, and have to stop to stretch out calf/achilles/foot several times. Similar for walking to/from work - morning is like I don't have PD, whereas hometime is a shuffle! Pretty sure it correlates to fatigue.
Keep the morning 5k's going my friend!
