Another "Miracle Cure" or scam?

Hi PD / HU family.

Close family member is suggesting I look into these "Patches" heal all patches, but I am reserving my opinion seeking wisdom from the HU team...

what do YOU feel about them? The title of this post might indicate you are sceptical perhaps ?

My take on such things is if I can afford it, I believe it *might possibly * help me (therefore utilising the placebo effect), and it has little to no side effects then it would go on to my list of things to try.

I feel items like this appeal more to people who have less need to ‘follow the science’. I personally don’t need or particularly desire ‘robust scientific evidence’ and rely on hunches a lot, but we all work differently.

You do you.

When you look at these patches do you lean towards ‘miracle cure’ or ‘scam’?

You really don't need help to figure that one out yourself. As for relying on close family members, usually when mine do what you just suggested, I gratefully thank my stars I was adopted.

I wouldn't waste my money.

Given, that ‘close family member’ is so sure it would work, let him/her put up the funds, and should it work offer to repay double even triple the amount advanced🌹

Not specifically related to PD, but "In a recent study assessing the effectiveness of the LifeWave® patches on muscle power and endurance there were no significant differences found between placebo and experimental groups completing a 50- repetition leg-extension isokinetic protocol" pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articl....

I have a friend who cant stop talking about the x39 patch : activating stamcells. She does not have PD but other health issues, slowly fading away.

I have been using the X39 patches for about two weeks and I can honestly say they seem to be having a positive impact on my general well being. Although this could be placebo, I will continue to use for at least 8 months or 1 month for every year that I have had the condition. Among the perceived improvements I can list a longer duration of the Prolopa and generally better mobility. I am not sure if this helps at all but it has been my experience.

thanks team PD/HU I’ve been successful in the implementation of 1 month++ of a solid excercise regime before the patch purchase. I’ll keep this thread patched in for updates. Appreciate your contribution, one & all!

I tried them a few years ago, but with little success, and they are not inexpensive
