C/L dosage?

How does one calculate how much C/L one takes? My hwp takes 1.5 tabs of 25/100mg per day. Does one simply multiply the tabs by 25? Thanks!

Since the carbidopa is there to get more Levodopa to the brain multiply by 100.

The second number (100) is the significant one, the first (25) refers to carbidopa which is there only to assist in transiting the levodopa to the brain which is what you want. So 1.5 tabs equals 150mg of levodopa.

Just add the second number for each tab. [ie: 6 tabs = 600 mg a day (6 times a 100 = 600)].

I have found this online calculator to be very helpful. parkinsonsmeasurement.org/t... enter the medication, dose and time and the page graphs the theoretical dopamine level over time. The goal would be to get as smooth a dose as possible without dropping too low or having a spike or buildup.

Levodopa is the active component Carbidopa is helping absorption in bloodstream and passing the bloodneurons barrier . In Madopar Levodopa Is helped with Benserizide and in any other combination is the dopamine type expected by all neurons .

About dosing is very important to increase with minimum and for this I saw in Denmark a type of Levo/CarbiDopa with a better doses quantity :

tb -25 mg Levodopa + 6,6 mg Carbidopa

Tb -50 mg Levodopa +12,5 mg Carbidopa

Tb - 100 mg Levodopa + 25 mg Carbidopa

Tb - 125mg. Levodopa +31,25,mg Carbidopa

Tb - 150 mg Levodopa +37 ,5 mg Carbidopa

Tb -200 mg Levodopa + 50 mg Carbidopa

To increase the doses it is simply to brake the tb in quarters or half’s but most of the tablets are competing once with their improved absorption that’s why they are built like a fortress not divisable but now available in more other doses that aloud to increase dosage with maximum effectiveness and minimal size effects.
